Questions (motivation/time-management) ?

Question:

I have a problem with 2 things: Motivation. Time-management. I want to solve this problem. Can someone help? I understand that it's easier to be motivated when time is well-managed. I understand that it's easier to manage time when motivated. How do I get started?

I really want to get back in shape. I used to hike/backpack mountains almost every weekend. I'd do a jog/walk (alternating) for 5 miles in one day. I also participated in kung fu/martial arts. I have since moved to another state, been bombarded with schedule, am extremely stressed, and truly *want* to schedule the time and spark that motivation but simply don't know how. I've had work-out partners before and that's helped tremendously but in the case that I'm on my own, what do I do?

Answer:
Group activity, like finding a local kung-fu club may help. The fact that the activity is at a fixed time that you're supposed to be there helps you get into a routine. It also solves the problem that you're "on your own".

You're going to think I'm being sarcastic or poking fun at you, but I'm not.

Here's what to do:

Day one: put on work-out clothes. Change clothes. Go about your business.

Second day: put on work-out clothes, go to car, drive to gym. Return home, change clothes.

Third day: put on work-out clothes, go to car, drive to gym, go inside, ride bike for a couple minutes, stretch. Return home, shower. Change clothes.

Fourth day: put on work-out clothes, drive to gym, warm-up, do a few reps of pick your favorite foo-foo exercise, stretch. Return home, shower. change clothes.

If it's a part of you it has the potential to always be a part of you.
