tips for handling stress please?

Question:

I just found out the hubby is being transferred March 15th. We have a lease on the house that we live in now and have to give a 2 month notice, ugh!!! Also, the city we are transferring to, the rent is nearly double what we pay now. I didnt sleep more than 2 hours last night and got really sick this am. I know it's stress, I just cant figure out how to handle it right now. Any advice would be greatly appriciated...

Answer:
Would it be feasible for you two to purchase a home instead of rent? It may be more realistic to pay $1,100 a month (give or take) in a mortgage rather than a rent where you get no investment for your dollar. You can find out from his company if they can work things out with your landlord (check the lease agreement for any clauses that may cover a job transfer or relocation) so that you don't get penalized.

I was pregnant when my DH got a new job and we found out we had to transfer from CT to NJ. House hunting while pregnant wasn't fun -- especially when we already had three other kids to consider. Fortunately, my mom didn't live too far from our old place and she was able to sit, but it was still quite taxing to view 7 or 8 houses on a weekend -- from top to bottom, in, out, and around. Mortgage rates are extremely low, and if this is your first home, check out FHA loans. They're quite doable!
