Question:
i always wonder that, since stress does cause all sorts of medical problems and
so does depression
when do you should you have checked out?
If I went for every problem, I'd be seeing my doctor every day
and every time I get something checked out, it turns out to be nothing
I haven't seen her in months
I should give her call abt the asthma flare ups, but she's not good when it
comes to treating asthma...I do have a pulmonogist, he's damn good at it, but
he's a real ass, "i am the doctor and therefore I am God"
then there's the chronic chest pain, that comes and goes..with the pain getting
worse
I've had 2 EKG's and a stress test, so she has checked it out
so do nothing else about it?
Answer:
I have found that the time to have it checked out is when you start
worrying about it and imagining all kinds of things that are wrong with
you. The imagination can scare the shit out of you.
i would say that stress and depression are both serious and often
related medical problems. the real question then is what kind of
problems do you have? tell the dr the simptoms not the dx, that is
his part. also be sure to be honest and thourough. she can't help if
the part you are ashamed of or think is insignifigant is the key to
the whole think.
