Question:
Having a sociopathic sibling engaging in stalking/aggravated harassment in
depraved indifference to their knowing their activities jeopardizes my
fragile medical condition, while also being the current target of the
aggravated harassment by several posters whose posting history evidences
they have serially engaged in pathological stalking/harassment of other
usenet posters---- has caused me to think how the kin of the other serial
cyberstalkers/habitual harasses must also suffer greatly owing to sharing
territory with such pathological liars, and emotionally and psychologically
abusive persons.
Is there a place where the kin of people with psychopathic personality
traits---can meet others who have kin who are sociopathic?
Answer:
Just piggybacking on through here, Leah, to talk about "venting" and
stress....
There's an interesting study that was done a few years ago that showed that
women who were anger-prone actually showed increased physical manifestations
of stress when talking about a stress-producing event. You can read an
article about the study at:

Rather than venting, you might consider trying other stress management
techniques, such as exercise, meditation, autogenic training, yoga, or
breathing exercises. These methods of stress management can also have
salutary effects on depression, fatigue, and anxiety, and thyroid problems
are no barrier to using them. Here are some links for you:
General Stress Management:

for stress management. Hint: a popup blocker makes about.com a lot less
irritating ;-)
Exercise:

a page about the benefits of exercise to help reduce responses to stress,
along with suggestions on how to start exercising
http://lvhrs.ziby.net/ - this is a link to the Las Vegas High Rollers and
Strollers club, which is the American Volksport chapter for Las Vegas. If
you click on the link Direction/Trail Info you will see some directions to
some 10K trail walks. If 10K is too much to start with, walk out for a few
minutes, then walk back.

their area.
Meditation:
http://www.meditationcenter.com/ - this is a site with a bunch of different,
easy meditation techniques you can try.
http://www.learningmeditation.com/room.htm - here are some guided meditation
instructions that you can listen to on your computer - you need Real Audio
to listen to these.
Relaxation Techniques:

a grab bag of different relaxation techniques.
http://www.ucop.edu/humres/eap/relaxationrespone.html - a description of the
basic relaxation exercise from the book "The Relaxation Response".
Autogenic Training:
http://www.holistic-online.com/stress/stress_autogenic-training.htm - a
description of an autogenic training session you can do yourself. The
warning about people with severe mental illnesses checking with their doctor
first should be taken to heart, as autogenic training may actually increase
tension in some people. Of course, stop if you feel tension increasing with
this exercise.
Yoga:
http://www.hathayogalesson.com/mainALT.htm - a site with 40 animated gifs of
hatha yoga postures and a section on stress and yoga. Anyone with any
health issues should check with their doctor before doing yoga postures, and
people with high blood pressure shouldn't do inverted postures, where the
head is lower than the heart. People with thyroid problems also need to
treat inverted postures with care, as they can irritate the thyroid.
Breathing:
http://mentalhealth.about.com/cs/stressmanagement/a/diaphragm.htm - another
about.com page, this one has a description of diaphragmatic breathing, a
simple breathing exercise that has been clinically proven to reduce stress.
