Question:
I'm writing this post with a little anxiety, but I am basically happy and
excited. I have attended 2 sessions with a rehabilitation service and got a
phone call yesterday telling me I had a job interview today!!!!!! So in a
couple of hours I go to this interview, which is for packing shelves a few
evenings a week in a supermarket. If I go OK at the interview, I'll be
taken on for a couple of shifts just for training and to see how I go and if
all goes well I'll be working on the payroll by next week. I haven't been
in paid employment since July 1993, so this is a momentous occasion for me
Answer:
This is really great news!!! I can really understand how big a step this is.
I want to wish you lots of luck and I hope you get the job.
am so proud of you for taking this big step forward in your life. I hope
the interview goes well and please keep us updated!!!
Sending good vibes your way
get to this point in more ways than I can express :-) And you inspired me
when you went back to the workforce yourself. It went fine today and I
start tomorrow evening as an unpaid workplace trainee, and after 3 shifts
if all goes well they will give me the job.
I'm a bit proud of myself too :-) The interview was just
a brief and stress free experience and I start training tomorrow night.
It's a bit scary but good for the self esteem too. I'll really need those

I'm really pleased Meryl. It did go fine, the interview was just a
formality really to get the basic information and the manager seemed nice.
My case manager from CRS came to the interview with me. The CRS have been
really great this time. I had to see them years ago when I just wasn't even
nearly ready and it wasn't such a good experience, but they have been
fantastic at helping me work out a bit of a plan and then finding me a
placement. They are going to pay for some work clothing and may also fund
me to do a couple of short courses as well.
