Question:
I suffer from a bit of stress and mild fatigue. I am wondering if their
are any medicines preferably natural that can help deliver a
pick-me-up. i am sick of drinking a pot of coffee a day. Someone once
suggested peppermint tea, but it didn't really do much. I'm wondering
if anyone of you have any other things you have tried???
Answer:
That pot of coffee could be doing it (acute effect: stimulation; chronic
effect for some people: various forms of malaise), but you'd probably have
to endure an uncomfortable withdrawal period to find out. In addition to
supps like those recommended by Tom, regular exercise is a good tonic for
stress and fatigue. Relaxation/meditation techniques can also have similar
effects. Also, herbs like St. John's wort and ginseng. And a check-up, if
you need one.
Why are you stressed??? Change jobs??? Change wives or husbands??? Get
rid of the kids?? In other words, get rid of the cause of the stress.
Why are you fatigued??? can't sleep at night?? Job too hard or
heavy-duty??? You need to to find out why you are3 stressed and
fatigued. Then worry about what to do about it.
After I just get through discussing why magnet
pushers areb so unlovable, I see this, perfect,
example of the kind of nonsensical blanket claims
that give, what might be, a valid therapeutic
device a bad name. Note that the statement
"Magnetics don't add energy to your system."
makes equal sense. Which is none.
Have you tried any ephedra derivatives? (for the fatigue) Some people can't
handle them very well, makes them shaky like caffine can. However, as far as I
understand, that side effect is less common with the ephedra than caffine. As
long as you don't mix it with that silly stack of asprin and caffine, as was
popular a little while ago, you should be okay.
You can also try ginseng, that's a very popular alternative, it's been used for
years in Asia and is becoming popular here in the US.
Post a reply to me here if you're interested in where to buy these herbs at a
good price from a respectable source. There are a couple other alternatives
that I could tell you about, if you're interested in going the herbal route.
You might think about trying something called Energy-V by Nature's Sunshine
or Green Zone. I had problems with stress and fatigue, and I think these
