Question:
I am looking for any information on stress reduction groups specifically for
infertility. I read about one in Boston and one in Mississippi. I am looking
for one in the Cleveland, Ohio area. These groups teach relaxation and stress
management as ways of coping with infertility. One has a 28% success rate,
the other 34%.
Answer:
I took the stress reduction course for infertility patients this summer
at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
It gets a lot of press. Alice Domar, who started the course, was on
DateLine NBC and one of the morning talk shows this summer.
I have heard that the course is being taught at different sites
around the country. To find out more information, call
617-623-9525 or check out the web site for the hospital's Mind/Body
Institite, which runs the course.

If you aren't able to take the course, Alice Domar has written a book
called _Healing Mind, Healthy Woman_ which describes the philosophy
behind the course and the guided relaxation tapes can be purchased
through the Mind/Body Institute.
