Question:
Hello everyone I have the anxiety and phobia work book and it has been a
great help but I want something new to read. This Amazon write up of this
book has tons of people saying it helped them get out of the house and
really fixed em good. or Helped them to accept life anyway. It is called
Embracing the fear and it is one of the best rated anxiety books on
Amazon.com. I am also thinking about the book that tells how to beat it
drug free. here is the link to the first book tell me what you all think.
Answer:
I have the Anxiety and Phobia workbook (by Edmund J. Bourne, PhD), the
Relaxation and Stress Reduction workbook (by Martha Davis, PhD, Elizabeth
Robbins Eshelman, MSW and Matthew McKay, PhD), The Depression workbook (by
Mary Ellen Copeland, MS, MA). I use the three of these in conjunction with
my therapist. We work through a lot of the exercises in the workbooks, in
addition to talk therapy. I had the books for awhile before I had the
therapist, and found it difficult to do the exercises correctly, or even
understand how to do them because it was worded funky. (I also had a severe
lack of motivation at that point.) You may do very well with the workbook.
As for your other book you have linked there, no advice from here... never
heard of it.
