Question:
I ' d like to know if feelings and emotions play a role in the diabete
equilibration?
When I have problems and when I get nervous I have always hyper , and when
I feel good my glycaemia is good . Maybe it's just a coincidence .
Does anybody know the same problem ?
Answer:
this is very common amongst diabetics. Emotions (stress) can
raise blood glucose levels.

Stress is known to raise blood glucose levels.
Stress can raise bg's just like they can raise blood pressure.
I go through the whole spectrum of emotions. Crabbiness, crying jags,
euphoria, self-pity, even bouts of the giggles. Yeah, some stupid incident
will strike me funny and I'll sit there snickering like a space case.
Usually means I'm high, low, in between or just plain nuts. Anyway, I'm
diabetic.
The cause can go in the other direction, too. A hyper can
disturb your emotions.
