dealing with stress and high BG levels ?

Question:

i was wondering how others on the group deal with stress and its effect on BG levels.

i am going thru a difficult period of time right now and my BG levels have gone up.

normally i am able to control my BG levels with diet and exercise, but, since this stressfull period started (about 3-4 weeks ago) things have started go slightly awry.

i have reduced my carb intake, but do not think this is a good idea.

Answer:
I'm also going through a hell of time right now. To reduce the stress I'm having, I increase the amount of exercise and I also add yoga and tai chi. Low carb diet helps me maintain a good glucose level, however it has no effect on stress. When I'm too stress-out, my glucose will also raise no matter what I eat. Good luck and take care your health.

When you are stressed you need more B vitamins. Lowering the carb may help with the bg's but you are also lowering the B vitamins in food. I eat brewer's yeast mixed with a bit of yoghurt, strawberries and splenda blended together every day.
