Question:
While laying in bed last night, I could feel my heart pounding
heavily and my normal heart palpatations. I took a deep breath and my
deep heart pounding stopped. I wonder if my muscle twitching and heart
problems are causing by my low lung capacity? Perhaps not enough oxygen
to the muscles and heart. Does anyone know how to treat low lung
capacity? What is low lung capacity a symptom of? I'm on iv zith and
Mepron treatments for Babesia.
Answer:
I don't know about lung capacity as such but, I have found that at
times when I have had pounding heart beats and rapid heart beats I have
had some luck with slowing my breath like in meditation and then am
able to breath more deeply and evenly while the symptoms subside. At
the very least I figure this has minimized reactivity with increase
muslce strain and fear that could effect same. Probably also means my
symtoms are not so serious as, perhaps what you have. Not sure.
Anyway, I think there is a lot that is possible with breath regulation
that you might try until you get more options.
Its now known that Chronic Babesia may cause some types of chest tightness or
inability to catch one's breath. That may be part of the cause.. also some of
the other symptoms you describe can be related to poor magnesium levels-- you
may wish to consider taking oral magnesium (two to 4 MagTab Sr pills per day)
or possibly even injections or infusions or magnesium.... lastly Lyme can cause
inflammatory reactions everywhere, including the airways. Probably in Chronic
Lyme, people have a mix of all three things causing these lung complaints.
I will see a pulmonologist. I do have environmental allergies. I
wonder if that is the cause. I supposedly had a low lung capacity
before I got bit by a tick ( I never saw the tick). But, I am beginning
to think I was bit a long time ago. I am being treated for Babesia,
too, perhaps that's the cause. I will also take the Mag SR pills.
