Stress, and Bipolar ?

Question:

Stress, and Bipolar ?

Answer:
I think that if a person is under stress it easily kicks off episodes. So if you are not under stress, or can deal with stress then you are much less likely to have an episode. Of course living a stress free life almost impossible. I have recently hear of a concept that bipolar is much like a "virus" in the brain. Interesting idea. It is like stress to someone with Bipolar is like going out in the freezing cold without a jacket, and caught a cold. I would be interested in hearing view on this concept. I really feel like we use Lithium to treat the symptoms, but what we science should look for is a cure for the cause. I think this concept would also apply to Alcoholism. Old Chinese cure: May your life be interesting

My life is Interesting. My favorite theory is that this is a genetic condition that causes the brain to be mal-formed at birth which inturn causes the chemical imbalance and the infamous mood swings. Using the worn out Diabetic parallel.... it was in my genes that eventually I would be diabetic, but no one knew when why or how it would finally be triggered.
